Simple™ Key allows retailers to offer consumers a simple, “do-it-yourself” solution for replacing modern car keys.

Las Vegas, NV., October, 30, 2018 The product development division of Car Keys Express launches the world’s first and only line of consumer-programmable, universal aftermarket keys at the 2018 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas. Available now, Simple™ Key is a new way for consumers to easily replace modern car keys. The product offers retailers high margins, while saving customers up to 70% off typical dealership pricing.

These consumer-friendly, self-contained products include a universal key and, if required, an EZ Installer™, allowing customers to pair the key to their vehicle. Once paired, the universal keys perform the same functions as the vehicle's original, such as locking and unlocking doors, panic, opening the truck, and remote start.

Simple™ Key features include:

  • Universal design providing maximum vehicle coverage with minimal SKUs
  • Multiple button configurations
  • Exact match, one-to-one, and backwards compatibility is included on packaging
  • “Better than OEM” three-year warranty

“We’re disrupting the industry, developing tools and keys to simplify key replacement. Car Keys Express is the first and only company to offer a diverse line of modern, aftermarket, universal keys. As the world leader in automotive key replacement, we’re uniquely qualified to provide consumers an alternative to the time, expense, and hassle of a dealership appointment,“ said Mark Lanwehr, Founder and CEO of Car Keys Express.

Diverse and increasing key technology has driven retailers out of the automotive key replacement market. Car Keys Express has a patented frequency agile transmitter, making their products universal. This technology took decades of invested hours to develop and allows their products to function across multiple vehicle makes, models, and years. The frequency agile transmitter, along with other recent advances in keys and tools, makes it possible for retailers to offer customers keys at a fraction of dealership prices.

Four Simple™ Keys are currently available with eight additional keys to be released in 2019. AAPEX attendees can get a first look at these products in booth #6320. Retailers interested in learning more can contact Kirk Stewart, Car Keys Express Retail Marketing Director or visit CarKeysExpress.com/SimpleKey.
